This shelf was inspired by Pierre Chapo’s bibliothèque series first produced in the mid 1960’s. I built this one from sapele mahogany but it can be made in other species such as oak, walnut, cherry, maple and others. This piece measures 48″ wide, the design is strong and can hold considerable weight. I can customize sizes as well. These are great for books, records, audio components, art and other things.
