I designed this walnut live edge floating wall shelf for a client in Greenwich Village, NYC for an entryway. It measures 80″ wide x 16″ deep. The four drawers have quarter sawn oak fronts, cut from one long piece for contiguous grain direction/movement. I turned the walnut drawer pulls on my lathe, as I do for pretty much all of my drawers. It’s a quiet mix of mid century American with elements of Mission era and Japanese design.
